What kind of world it is
The Eris Empire, the Free Cities and the lands the job board sends you to for money. The guild hands out ranks, the rank hands out jobs, the jobs hand out monsters — and after that it is down to the roll.
Races are not cosmetic here: human, elf, dark elf, beastkin with a subspecies, tiefling, gnome, dragonborn and sentient undead are counted differently and met differently.
How it plays
Six attributes, the sixth being Magic. Forty skills, nine of them schools of magic: elemental, light and restoration, nature, necromancy, mind and illusion, space and time, enchanting, summoning.
Mana is tracked apart from stamina, the coin of the world is the eris, arrows are counted one by one. Two hundred and twenty-three abilities and nearly five hundred items are already written: the narrator has plenty to build both a shop and a lair from.
